VEICHI - SD780

The SD780 system is a general-purpose servo developed by Veichi for 220 V AC applications, featuring a compact structure.

The drive integrates IGBT PWM sinusoidal control and a new vector algorithm that increases the speed loop bandwidth to 3 kHz, achieving response times below 1 ms and reducing overall size by 30% compared to the previous generation.

The unit manages position, speed, and torque modes in full closed-loop operation, supporting 17-bit or 23-bit multi-turn absolute encoders, resolvers, and sine/cosine encoders, with the ability to retain position data even when powered off.

The electronics comply with UL, CE, and STO SIL3 certifications and provide communication interfaces for RS-485, CANopen, and EtherCAT, allowing easy integration into multi-axis networks.

The AI Servo Control Intelligence function implements a self-learning algorithm that automatically identifies the mechanical characteristics of the axis (ball screw, belt, or rigid coupling) and sets optimal control parameters without manual tuning. The vibration suppression and auto-notch filter functions minimize structural vibrations and improve stability during repetitive dynamic cycles. The V7U motors are low- and medium-inertia permanent magnet synchronous servomotors, available from 50 W to 1.5 kW with nominal speeds of 3000 rpm (up to 6000 rpm peak).

They use high-density magnets and optical or magnetic absolute encoders (17- or 23-bit), ensuring accuracy and smooth operation at low speeds. All models are built to IP65/IP67 protection standards, with optional integrated brakes, making them ideal for Cartesian robots, manipulators, engraving machines, packaging systems, and light automation equipment.

The combined SD780 + V7U system provides a balanced servo solution in terms of performance, compactness, and cost, offering up to 300% overload capacity, efficiency above 90%, and comprehensive diagnostics via micro USB or dedicated PC software for parameter copy and transfer.
